Located within the Kerobokan district of Bali, the entrance to this two-bedroom villa is across large stones set within a lotus pool. Angular roofs in serap, above walls of island stone, create an air of anticipation. Sharp lines and beautiful finishing categorize this two-bedroom villa, a mélange of the modern with traditional elements make this a showcase of modern Balinese architecture.

The living room provides the center point of Villa Bali-Bali Two. Upstairs is a loft that serves as the audiovisual room. The living room is decorated in antiques from around the archipelago and featuring walls done in stone with wood detailing, it’s a place to entertain or merely relax. Floored in local sandstone, opening onto the garden and pool on one side and the dining room, that seats six, and a modern kitchen on the other, everything that one needs seems to be only steps away.

Local fabrics in earth tones adorn the villa, blending in well with the predominantly wood furniture, serving as a reminder of how important the soil is to the culture of Bali. A Balinese shrine stands to one side of the swimming pool and looks down the large lawn that contains a bale for relaxing or massages. The villa is positioned to look out on to some of Bali’s world famous rice field terraces. Next to the villa, the swimming pool possesses an avant-garde design and a wooden deck running down one side.
